Clifton is excited to welcome Rob Kaplen, PEng, PMP, as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer based in our Edmonton office.
Rob brings over a decade of experience in geotechnical engineering, specializing in Materials Testing, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), Construction Management, Geotechnical Investigations, Dam Safety, and Project Management. He has worked on projects across multiple industries, including linear infrastructure, construction, mining, and dams.
Rob enjoys the creative problem-solving involved in geotechnical work. He thinks of the data gathered through investigations as dots in a connect-the-dots drawing. This not only helps him identify information gaps but also enables him to communicate findings and solutions to clients at both a big-picture and more detailed level.
Rob was recently part of an award-winning team that received the Shell Sustainability Award for its remediation work. This same commitment to innovative and high-quality work is brought to all of his projects.
