At Clifton, we are privileged to live alongside and work with many Indigenous communities throughout Western Canada and the Arctic. Through these relationships and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action, we have come to better understand Canada’s history, the history of this land, and the experiences of Indigenous Peoples.
Clifton recognizes reconciliation as a necessary step toward addressing past and current injustices that Indigenous Peoples have endured and continue to face. We understand that we have an active role to play in strengthening and deepening relationships that contribute to the long-term, sustainable, and equitable development of our communities. Our goals remain truth, justice, and continued progress toward equality for all.
We remain committed to learning about the legacy of the residential school system and its enduring impacts, supporting Indigenous-led initiatives that strengthen community resilience, and promoting reconciliation through equitable partnerships, employment, education, and mutual respect.
