We’re celebrating Stephen Cross and his 25-year milestone with Clifton.
Stephen is our Civil Design and Rail Lead and has more than 31 years of experience in civil, geotechnical, and rail engineering. He leads major capital rail and infrastructure projects, providing technical guidance to design teams and helping clients deliver projects from feasibility and Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) through construction and project closeout.
Throughout his career, Stephen has worked on industrial, heavy rail, and urban transit projects across Western Canada. His experience includes leading complex rail yard developments, supporting major LRT projects, and overseeing capital expansion initiatives. His background as Director of Special Projects at Canadian Pacific Railway, combined with hands-on experience as a locomotive engineer and Lead Track Maintainer, gives him a unique understanding of railway operations that he brings to every project. Stephen also serves as a Rail Safety Ambassador with Operation Lifesaver, reflecting his commitment to promoting railway safety both on and off the job.
