National Indigenous Peoples Day is celebrated on June 21, the summer solstice and longest day of the year. For many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples, the summer solstice holds deep cultural and spiritual significance and is a time for gathering, reflection, renewal, and celebration.
The day is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the cultures, histories, languages, traditions, and contributions of Indigenous Peoples across Canada. Communities throughout the country mark the occasion through events, ceremonies, and cultural activities that share Indigenous knowledge, heritage, and perspectives.
At Clifton, we are grateful for the relationships we have built through partnerships with Misty Clifton Engineering LP, Temixw Engineering Ltd., and other Indigenous-owned collaborations across Western Canada. These relationships continue to shape how we work, learn, and grow, and reinforce our commitment to respect, collaboration, and meaningful reconciliation.
