We are excited and very proud to announce the expansion of Misty Clifton Engineering Ltd. (Misty Clifton), a majority-Indigenous-owned partnership. Kineepik Métis Local (Pinehouse, Sask.) is now a 33.3% owner of Misty Clifton. This new partnership makes Misty Clifton a 67% Indigenous-owned company, with Métis, Mistawasis Nêhiyawak (Misty Ventures Inc.) and non-Indigenous communities each owning 33.3%.
We have always been committed to building strong and meaningful partnerships with Indigenous communities, grounded in the principles of respect, collaboration, engagement, cultural competency, capacity building, and continuous improvement. This expanded partnership is expected to generate value for all members and will help shape the face of engineering practice in our province.
We are excited to take this next step in expanding a partnership based on the principles of reconciliation founded on reciprocity, mutual respect, and benefit. By integrating Indigenous priorities and values into projects and activities, we can promote sustainable development, social responsibility, and respect for Indigenous rights and interests while winning and executing projects with profits shared among Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.
We look forward to seeing the growth and success of this first-of-its-kind partnership.
