International Pipeline Conference & Expo 2026

Posted on September 22, 2026

Clifton is attending the International Pipeline Conference & Expo (IPCE), taking place September 21–25 at the BMO Centre in Calgary, AB. The conference brings together pipeline professionals from around the world for technical sessions, panels, training, and discussions covering pipeline infrastructure, safety, operations, geohazards, and emerging technologies.

This morning, Michael Bender will present Degradation and Potential Freespan Attributes of Alberta Rivers to Support Geohazard Screening Methods, co-authored with David Kushner of Pembina Pipelines, as part of the 10:30 AM–12:00 PM program. The paper presents methods for estimating river degradation and potential scour width at pipeline watercourse crossings, helping support hydrotechnical geohazard screening and the prioritization of more detailed investigations.

We look forward to connecting with fellow attendees and contributing to the technical discussions at IPCE.
