As part of Women in Clifton, an internal initiative focused on supporting and connecting women across the organization, we launched a new four-part speaker series focused on Women Empowering Women.
For our first session, we welcomed Kristen Darr, P.Geo., Executive Director of Strategic Planning and Environment at SaskEnergy, for a conversation about Growth and Opportunity. Kristen shared her career journey and reflected on the moments that challenged her to step outside her comfort zone, recognize her own capabilities, and advocate for new opportunities.
The discussion explored how professional growth does not always follow a straight path and the important role that mentors, advocates, and peers can play along the way. Kristen also encouraged participants to recognize opportunities for growth even when they may not feel completely ready and to provide that same support to others.
Through the series, we hope to create opportunities for women across Clifton to learn from one another and have open conversations about the experiences and challenges that can shape their careers. Upcoming sessions will explore barriers and setbacks, influence and leadership, and imposter syndrome and self-confidence.
Thank you to Kristen for sharing her experiences and starting the series with an open and thoughtful conversation.
