The Clifton team recently attended the Canadian Dam Association (CDA-ACB) Annual Conference in Saskatoon. Our staff contributed throughout the week as presenters, session chairs, and committee members.
Wayne Clifton chaired the Special Session on Site C, bringing together perspectives on one of Canada’s largest dam projects. Allen Kelly chaired the Dam Foundations session, focusing on grouting, stability and foundation behaviour, while Jon Osback chaired the Small Dams session, which explored safety reviews, classification challenges and the role of small-scale infrastructure in water security. Presentations included Carolina Rincon’s deformation analysis for Rafferty Dam upgrades in southeast Saskatchewan and Matthew Wenz’s case study on seepage remediation at Lac La Ronge Dam in northern Saskatchewan. In addition, Jasyn Henry served as Technical Co-Chair on the Conference Organizing Committee.
As an Emerald Sponsor, we were proud to support this important gathering of dam professionals and enjoyed connecting with peers and industry partners throughout the event.
