Clifton is excited to welcome Alex Tchekhovski, PhD, to our Earth Sciences group as a Principal Geotechnical and Permafrost Specialist based in our Calgary office.
Alex has over 50 years of experience in geotechnical and permafrost engineering, with 25 years working in Northern Canada. His work has included projects in permafrost-rich areas across Canada, Greenland, Alaska, Russia, China, and Mongolia. Alex’s background includes permafrost mapping, geothermal analysis, and terrain assessments, and he has contributed to oil and gas pipelines, highways, railways, and industrial foundations.
Alex earned his Master’s degree in Engineering Geology, Hydrogeology, and Permafrost from Moscow State University and a PhD in Soil Science, Engineering Geology, and Permafrost Engineering from the R&D Institute of Engineering.
We are pleased to have Alex join our team and look forward to the knowledge and experience he will share with Clifton and our clients.
