Clifton proudly sponsored yesterday’s 19th Annual University of Alberta Reinforced Wall Competition/2024 ParklandGEO Ltd. GeoWall Competition, showcasing our dedication to advancing geotechnical engineering innovation. This event, a collaboration with the UAlberta Geotechnical Centre and the Geotechnical Society of Edmonton, challenged participants to design and construct reinforced soil walls with limited materials.
Among the highlights was the achievement of Clifton’s Rocky Cho and his team, WALLSTARS, who won the Closest Load Prediction category. Their design predicted a load of 300 kPa and impressively supported 397 kPa, showcasing outstanding engineering precision.
