Waskesiu Townsite Rehabilitation
Parks Canada - PWGSC
Monitoring all works, providing quality assurance for urban revitalization works: roadways, sidewalks, curb and gutter, water and sewer, drainage
Waskesiu, Prince Albert National Park, Saskatchewan
Clifton monitored all works for this project, including the repair of road failures prior to the placement of a new surfacing structure; the extension of water and sewer work; the replacement of the sidewalk and curb; the installation of several oil/grit separators; the construction and enhancement of new campsites; the construction of a new dump site with wash down facilities; and improvements to the drainage system in numerous areas.
Clifton Associates designed and assisted with the tender package, which outlined all special conditions and contract particulars. We acted as the owner’s representatives during construction, recommending alternatives as the work progressed and ensuring all works either met contract specifications or were satisfactory to provide equivalent service or value. Clifton Associates approved all payments to B&B Asphalt, who were responsible for the road works and campsites; Western Concrete Finisheers, who took over the sidewalks, curb and gutters; and Dmyterko Enterprises, who were responsible for the water and sewer works, including oil/grit separators.
